Dr Margaret Kearns

Dr. Kearns’ expertise and experience in cataract & refractive surgery has lead her to pursue her current special interest in the treatment of astigmatism and Presbyopia using current intraocular lens technology and Laser Eye Surgery. Dr Kearns speciality in Diabetic and Retinal disease continues since completing a Medical Retinal Fellowship, at Moorefields and Hammersmith Hospitals (London).

Dr. Kearns is a graduate of Sydney University Medical School who trained in Ophthalmology at Sydney Eye Hospital.

Dr Kearns has worked as an Eye Surgeon in Melbourne and Sydney. She is currently a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is involved in the registrar training program. She is a founding partner of The Sydney Eye Specialist Centre with Dr Richard Smith.

A member of many National and International Ophthalmic Associations, Dr Kearns also presents scientific papers both locally and overseas.
